Lydia A. Sausa received both a Master of Science in Education degree in Human Sexuality Education, and a Ph.D. degree in Education, Culture, and Society from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Sausa is an award-winning researcher, dynamic national trainer, and innovative adjunct professor with 12 years of experience in the field of health education, training, and research. He has conducted research about trans youth and adults; coordinated statewide HIV prevention research projects and training programs; developed, implemented and evaluated over 150 comprehensive trainings throughout the United States for health professionals about trans health and evidence-based HIV interventions and services; and has taught 14 different graduate and undergraduate courses on sexuality, health, and trans studies. In addition, he has a number of publications about the education and health care needs of trans communities, and has presented and guest lectured at over 60 international, national, and regional conferences and universities.
